Brand new to your site. Just discovered I'm lactose intolerant and NOT liking it. I am/was a HUGE dairy fan. All new experience for me but I swear I'm already feeling better with the changes I've made. Looking forward to spending time reading past blog entries! Can't wait to check out your book too!

I love your blog and your recipes. I am lucky also to have no allergy. But loving learning about the different options of cooking methods to cater for different health requirements. :)

Hi Shelley, I'm allergic to dairy too. That can be hard if your spouse or family members aren't in full support. It makes it so much easier when they follow the same diet as you at home. The cheese addiction is the hardest to break too.

What I usually recommend is planning out a month of meals that don't require cheese. Usually when planning menus for cutting out cheese, I will add more salt and fat to compensate, as that helps to cover for the flavor and texture that some people miss with cheese. Don't skimp on flavor and try to get him to taste them without the cheese first! One meal at a time you may win him over.

Thanks for stopping by! I'm looking forward to checking out your blog.

Hi,

I just found your website and will definitely be trying a bunch of your recipes! I have a dairy-free blog as well: http://maviesanslaitage.blogspot.com/. I'm allergic to all dairy (not lactose intolerant!!), so everything on the blog is completely dairy free. I was wondering if you were also allergic, or if it's a choice to be dairy free. I have a cheese-loving husband who loves my dairy free desserts, but still always needs to add cheese to my cheese-free dinners. I'm trying to break him from this addiction.. but it's very hard to find completely dairy-free cheese where I live.

Wow, what a funny place the internet is! My name is also Alisa, and I also avoid dairy, and I just started to blog a bit about food. I never would have guessed I'd find another Alisa with such similar interests!

Anyway, your recipes look wonderful, and I can't wait to try them!
