Should you find yourself in a curry bind, or simply prefer homemade, this quick and easy Indian style Curry Powder is for you! It’s a sodium-free blend that uses individual spices, to elevate your meal. Whenever possible, I make my own spice blends. Pre-packaged versions often contain additives, which sometimes includes dairy. Plus, homemade versions have amazing depth of flavor and a fresher taste.

Hello Alisa,
Love the sound of this recipe. What about the garlic. Is is fresh and does it not then affect the shelf life? Just thinking as the other ingredients are dry and also because I thought to use fresh turmeric.
Thank you!
Hi Deirdre, you want to use all dry ingredients. There isn’t any garlic in this recipe. If you opt to use fresh turmeric, I would omit turmeric from the spice mix and just add the fresh turmeric as a separate ingredient when you cook.
